My name is Helena Sampaio. I am a certified health coach.

I originally trained and qualified as a dentist and orthodontist.  

I am Brazilian married to an Englishman, have two children and lived in London for more than 15 years. In 2023 we moved to Cascais, Portugal, which is where we are now living.

I am fascinated by the power of the mind, specifically how we create our habits and, ultimately, our reality. I have practiced yoga and meditation for more than 15 years and my body feels better every time I practice.

 I truly enjoy helping people not only to feel better but also because of the ripple effect that can happen when one person changes and it creates opportunities for the rest of the family to change as well.

In today’s fast-paced and rapidly changing world it feels as though everybody wants a magic pill to solve their problems immediately.

Instead, I believe that developing simple, good habits is the answer. Lasting change takes time and discipline. Small, incremental steps can, over time, deliver powerful compounding effects that result in significant and durable results.

 We all know the basic principles: water, real food, natural light, exercise and sleep. The hard part comes when trying to combine and incorporate them into a consistent, daily routine.

My coaching approach is personalised. I like to look at the physical, emotional and psychological side of each patient to understand, customise and create an optimal treatment plan.

 I structure my approach around these areas:

mind , body and home.

The last part might sound unusual but in order to change habits we must first change our environment.

Our senses are constantly receiving information from our environment and providing feedback to the brain and body. So to change our habits we often need to change our environment. Simple things like getting natural light in the morning and switching off the cell phone one hour before sleeping can have a surprisingly powerfull effect on our wellbeing.
